What is CBD?

CBD, or Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid discovered in the year 1940, one that accounts for close to 40% of the overall extract from the marijuana plant, making it the second-most prominent ingredient in cannabis. Besides being an active ingredient in Cannabis, CBD can also be found in industrial hemp. Contemporary research has shown it to be capable of effecting and ultimately benefiting a large number of biological processes through the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

In recent times, the usage of CBD products has been popularised due to the overwhelming evidence in favour of its positive benefits for the health of both humans and animals as well as through the endorsement of several notable athletes, celebrities, and respected figures within the relevant areas of research.
